The Commander of the Unmanned Systems revealed details about the new Ukrainian weapon.

Ukraine is preparing to present a new weapon - laser technologies that will help destroy Russian strike drones. Commander Vadim Sukharevsky reported this during an interview on the Pressing channel.
This weapon, called 'Trident', was created in just a few months and has already successfully passed trials. It can shoot down aircraft.
Sukharevsky explained the logic behind the development. Now, alongside mobile firegroups using machine guns and thermal imagers, there will also be a vehicle with a laser.
The Commander of the Unmanned Systems believes that these developments will help Ukraine rise to a new level, become a technological country, and earn the gratitude of the world.
Interestingly, the United Kingdom is also testing its own laser weapon to destroy drones. The principle of operation involves directing an infrared laser beam at the target. The British laser weapon has also passed successful trials and could become a cost-effective alternative to other types of weaponry.
The experience of war in Ukraine has also changed the British military, which will receive up to six groups equipped with laser weapons and drones. Infantry remains important, but new types of vessels are required for successful operations.
