Pensions up to 100% of the average salary — who is eligible.


In our country, there are groups of citizens who can receive a pension ranging from 60% to 100% of the average salary for the previous year due to the Chernobyl disaster.
The issue of minimum pensions up to 100% of the salary is regulated by law No. 1584-IX. This law increases the level of pension provision for those affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
Minimum pension levels for disabilities due to the Chernobyl disaster
The specified pension amounts for the disabled due to Chernobyl are:
- 6,000 UAH — for the first group;
- 4,800 UAH — for the second group;
- 3,700 UAH — for the third group and children with disabilities.
Payments are established as a percentage of the average salary for the previous year, and some categories may be assigned 100% of the index.
Applying for pensions due to disabilities from the Chernobyl events
To receive a pension, you must contact the Pension Fund with a package of documents, including the results of medical examinations and documents regarding work experience.
Also, children of deceased military personnel may receive a pension in the form of a certain sum from the income of the deceased, and Ukrainians have the opportunity to receive unpaid pensions for previous years by contacting the PFU.
