In the Cherkasy and Poltava regions, there is no electricity due to bad weather: thunderstorms and strong winds damaged the power grid.

In the Cherkasy and Poltava regions, a number of settlements were left without electricity due to the bad weather that covered these regions.

Heads of the Cherkasy and Poltava regional state administrations, Ihor Taburets and Volodymyr Kohut, reported on the situation on Saturday, July 19.

In the Cherkasy region

In the Cherkasy region, due to thunderstorms and strong winds, 14 settlements were left without electricity, and private houses were also destroyed. The head of the Cherkasy OVA noted that there is damage to the roofs of houses in the Lysyansk territorial community, and a local commission regarding emergencies and extraordinary events will be held.

Also, in the Zvenyhorodsk and Cherkasy districts, 14 settlements were left without electricity due to the stormy winds. Rescue teams are already at the scene.

In the Poltava region

The Poltava region also faced problems with electricity supply due to the bad weather. According to JSC 'Poltavaoblenergo', electricity is turned off in 12 settlements of two territorial communities. A total of 81 enterprises and 1186 households were left without electricity, and specialists are already taking measures to restore power supply.

Forecasters predicted rain and thunderstorms across Ukraine on Saturday, July 19. A weather forecast for the upcoming days was also announced.

In the Cherkasy and Poltava regions, bad weather led to the disconnection of electricity in many settlements. In the Cherkasy region, 14 settlements were left without electricity due to strong winds and damaged houses, while in the Poltava region - over a thousand consumers. Electricians are already working on restoring the power supply.
