Ukraine honors the memory of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war every day at 9 AM. Today we will remember Andriy Holenderskyi.

Andriy Holenderskyi, who was a defender of Ukraine, died on March 23, 2025, while protecting Ukrainian land from Russian occupiers. This was reported by the information portal 'Glavkom' citing the Lviv City Council.

Andriy Holenderskyi was born on July 14, 1982, in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region. He studied at Secondary General Education School No. 60, and later obtained a profession as a mechanic of metallurgical equipment at the Mechanical and Metallurgical Technical School of the Pryazovskyi State Technical University.

After completing his studies, he worked in the transportation sector, first in Mariupol and then in Kharkiv. He also practiced boxing in his free Time and took up sailing back in Mariupol. It is known that Andriy was a very kind person with exceptional culinary skills.

With the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Andriy Holenderskyi's family moved to Lviv. He voluntarily joined the military unit A4896 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his country from Russian invaders. He participated in fierce battles in the Pokrovsk direction.

Andriy Holenderskyi died on March 23, 2025. The warrior's funeral took place on April 7 in the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. The warrior was buried in the Holoskiivske Cemetery in Lviv.
