The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting in Berlin with Chancellor Friedrich Merz, announced new agreements with Germany regarding joint arms production, including drones and other weapons on the territory of Ukraine.

'I am glad that today there are new agreements between our countries regarding joint projects. We will not publicly discuss all the details, but today we have our agreements on investment production in Ukraine. First of all, weapons – this is the production of drones,' Zelensky stated at a joint press conference.

Additionally, the president emphasized the importance of involving German business in the reconstruction of Ukraine and discussed agreements on air defense systems and weapon production to protect Ukrainian military forces.

Zelensky on participation in the NATO summit and attitude towards Russia

In his statement, Zelensky said that Ukraine's participation in the NATO summit in The Hague would depend on the decision of partners and sharply criticized Russia's position in the negotiation process.

'The world has been waiting for a memorandum from Russia for over a week. They have not come up with anything new yet and are throwing ultimatums,' Zelensky noted.

Zelensky called for increased pressure on Russia through sanctions and stressed the importance of the impact of sanctions from the USA on the Russian economy and army for the further development of the situation.

As a result of the meeting, Zelensky confirmed new agreements with Germany regarding arms production in Ukraine and expressed his position regarding participation in the NATO summit and attitudes towards Russia's actions, emphasizing the importance of sanctions and pressure on the Russian side.
