Investment funds interested in renewable energy are urging Ukrainian lawmakers to consider and vote for bill No. 11455, which will facilitate the acceleration of wind farm construction through tax incentives. This was reported by the chairman of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, Andriy Konechenkov, who reminded that this bill was registered back in July 2024.Konechenkov explained that the bill offers the possibility of exemption from VAT and customs duties when importing equipment for wind energy.'If we exempt wind energy installations from customs and VAT taxation, we would speed up the import of wind turbines to Ukraine and build them faster,' Konechenkov stated. He noted that abolishing VAT payment would not affect tax revenues to the state budget, as the state later reimburses them.Konechenkov emphasizes the importance of quickly building wind farms, as they are less vulnerable to shelling compared to other energy sources. The chairman also believes that the construction of wind farms will help improve the energy supply of military enterprises, which will enhance the country's defense capabilities.
