Prices for basic products in May

Ukrainians have been informed about the prices of chicken eggs, potatoes, garlic, milk, and butter in May according to data from the Minfin portal.

These products are essential elements in the diet of Ukrainian families, so any changes in their prices significantly affect the financial situation of the country's population.

Chicken eggs

The average price for chicken eggs Kyvochka S1 for 10 pieces decreased in May compared to April. The price in the Auchan network was 67.90 UAH in May, compared to 73.80 UAH in April. Yasenesvit S1 eggs showed more price fluctuations, from 70.99 UAH to 78.20 UAH in May.

In April, a pack of Yasenesvit S1 eggs for 18 pieces cost an average of 123.61 UAH, while in May the prices remained almost at the same level. The largest packs of 30 pieces showed approximately the same prices in both months.

Potatoes

Ordinary potatoes increased in price from 32.28 UAH in April to 37.00 UAH in May. Young potatoes decreased in price in May, while pink potatoes showed an increase in prices.

Garlic

Prices for garlic have also changed. Ordinary garlic has become more expensive, while young garlic has become cheaper in May.

Milk

Prices for milk increased in May. Простонаше milk with 1% fat and Yagotyn milk with 2.6% fat have become more expensive according to the data.

Butter

Prices for butter remained mostly stable. Some of the lowest prices were in the Auchan network.

It was previously reported about the overpayment of Ukrainians for eggs and sunflower oil.

Analyzing the information, it can be said that the prices for basic products in May in Ukraine have generally increased, which may negatively affect the financial condition of the population. It is undoubtedly important to take these fluctuations into account when planning the family budget.
