Democrats do not plan a full resistance to newly elected President Donald Trump. At least not in the style of 2016, when lawmakers, activists, volunteers, and millions of angry voters united their efforts across the party to limit his influence in Washington, reports ZN.UA, referencing The Hill.
“Before January 2025, the lack of unified resistance from Democrats to the president's second term indicates that the party is only beginning to analyze its mistakes, trying to understand what went wrong before uniting to criticize the Republicans.”
Although some still consider Trump’s reelection an existing threat to the country, these voices have become less vocal. The rhetoric of Democrats about 'saving our democracy,' which was previously effective and based on fear, did not work this Time, and many in the party are looking for new approaches after losing a significant portion of their power.
