Up to 80 thousand hryvnias per house: how Kyiv residents can get free generators from the city.

Kyiv introduces a compensation program for the cost of generators and solar panels for apartment buildings
The Kyiv city authorities announced the implementation of a new program that provides partial reimbursement for the cost of generators and solar panels for apartment buildings. This was reported by the Department of Housing and Communal Infrastructure of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council.
Under this program, 75% of the cost of equipment will be reimbursed, but not more than 80 thousand hryvnias per house. The main goal of this initiative is to ensure the energy independence of Kyiv's apartment buildings, especially in the event of possible power outages.
Homeowner associations, housing cooperatives, servicing cooperatives, legal entities, and housing cooperatives are eligible for compensation. This program also applies to apartment buildings with a selected manager.
The list of equipment eligible for compensation includes gasoline, diesel, and gas generators, solar charging stations, inverters, and other independent sources of electrical energy.
To receive compensation, a number of documents must be submitted to the district state administration, including an application, a copy of an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Formations, a copy of the protocol of the homeowners association, and a copy of the invoice for the purchase of equipment.
This program is part of a broader initiative of the city authorities aimed at improving Kyiv's energy efficiency and energy independence. It complements the existing "70/30%" program, under which the city pays 70% of the cost of energy efficiency projects in residential buildings.
The implementation of this program will help residents of apartment buildings ensure their homes have backup power sources and will promote the development of green energy in the city.
The city authorities urge residents to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance the energy security of their homes and reduce dependence on central power supply.
