Ex-MP explains how to help veterans find themselves in peaceful life.

The problem faced by veterans is their reintegration into society. To assist them, joint support from the state and society is needed. This was stated by former people's deputy and commander of the Muramasa brigade platoon, Yegor Firsov.
I am outraged when veterans who have gone through the war become unemployed and neglected. They receive letters asking for help. I pity them, as after returning from the front, they are forced to send such letters requesting money. Many of them cannot find work and lack activities for rehabilitation, which is very important for them.
Firsov believes it is important for veterans to feel useful in society. He recommends they take positions in public service. This way, they can continue their careers after the war.
We must enshrine in law the possibility for veterans to work in public service. This will contribute to their rehabilitation and the development of the country. If choosing between a regular person and a veteran for a position in public service, preference should be given to the veteran.
Firsov calls for doing everything possible to encourage veterans to enter public service because this country is built on their courage and dedication. He also draws attention to the responsibility of society, which often neglects veterans and becomes indifferent to their fate.
Society and the state must show that they care about veterans. They must have jobs, employment, and support. Our country should be built on the heroism of those who defended Ukraine.
Currently, veterans are in a difficult situation, however, their support and reintegration into society are important aspects. This depends on the joint efforts of the state and society. Progress in these matters will contribute to the development of the country and the well-being of veterans.
