The International Judo Federation allowed Belarusian athletes to participate in competitions
The National Olympic Committee of Belarus announced that the International Judo Federation (IJF) has allowed Belarusian athletes to participate in competitions under the state symbols. Representatives of the aggressor country Belarus have been allowed to compete from June 1 under the national flag and anthem.
IJF President Marius Vizer noted that the federation looks forward to welcoming Belarusian athletes to the tatami under the national flag of the country, upholding the long-standing values and traditions of judo - as reported by the NOC of Belarus.
Previously, Belarusian athletes competed in international tournaments under the IJF flag as 'neutral' athletes. It is also worth noting that the IJF allows those who support the war against Russia to participate in competitions.
