Hryvnia at 44: Analysts Revealed the Dollar Rate for 2025.

Forecast: The Dollar Rate to Hryvnia Will Rise to 44 UAH in 2025
KIT Group analysts in their January currency market review predict a rise in the dollar rate to 44 hryvnias during the first half of 2025.
Experts believe that in the short term, the exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar will be 42-43 hryvnias. This is explained by low business activity in January and stabilization after the seasonal increase in demand for currency at the end of last year.
Regarding the euro, analysts predict that its rate will remain within the range of 43-44 hryvnias with possible fluctuations in the coming months. Potential 'currency wars' between the USA and the EU, mentioned by the upcoming administration of Donald Trump, may influence the dynamics of the European currency.
Among the key influencing factors on the currency market, experts highlight high inflation expectations of the population and business, the monetary policy of the NBU, and changes in tax legislation.
As of January 15, 2025, the official exchange rate of the dollar is 42.27 hryvnias, and the euro is 43.32 hryvnias. On the interbank currency market, the dollar is trading in the range of 42.27/42.30 hryvnias.
Experts' forecasts suggest a further decline in the national currency rate. According to their calculations, by summer, the rate may reach 45 hryvnias per dollar, and by the end of the year, it could rise to 46-47 hryvnias.
It should be noted that the NBU is monitoring the situation in the currency market. Ukraine's international reserves have reached a record $43.8 billion, providing sufficient resources to maintain rate stability.
