The hryvnia strengthened against the euro and the zloty: The National Bank set the rates for Tuesday.

The National Bank of Ukraine has set new exchange rates for the hryvnia for Tuesday, July 8, showing a mixed dynamic of the Ukrainian currency against major world currencies. NBU data indicates diverse trends in currency pairs.

Dynamics of the US dollar rate

The US dollar rate has risen and stands at 41.7975 hryvnias for one American currency unit, which is 7 kopecks higher compared to the Monday rate of 41.7341 hryvnias. This brings the dollar closer to its historical maximum of 42.28 hryvnias, which was recorded on January 13, 2025.

Changes in the euro and Polish zloty rates

The euro demonstrates an opposite trend, with the rate declining to 49.0285 hryvnias, which is 9 kopecks less than Monday's level of 49.1210 hryvnias. Despite the decrease, the European currency is still close to its historical peak of 49.40 hryvnias, reached on July 1 this year.

The Polish zloty has also depreciated against the hryvnia, with its rate set at 11.5424 hryvnias for one Polish currency unit. This is 3 kopecks lower compared to the Monday rate of 11.5665 hryvnias, which may indicate some strengthening of the Ukrainian currency in this currency pair.

Earlier, Ukrainians were warned about possible issues when trying to exchange 100 dollars. 

The National Bank of Ukraine has set new exchange rates that show different trends in the movement of the hryvnia against the US dollar, euro, and Polish zloty. The dollar rate has risen, showing a tendency to approach the historical maximum, while the euro and Polish zloty rates have shown declines. These changes reflect the current state of the forex market and may affect the exchange operations of the population and businesses.
