The Kursk operation began to affect the battles near Pokrovsk: ISW revealed the details.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russia possibly repositioned several of its units in the Pokrovsk direction to the Kursk region. Analysts point out that this move was made to protect against a possible Ukrainian invasion and under operational pressure from Ukraine on the Kursk region. It was previously reported about the repositioning of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Federation from the Pokrovsk direction to the Kursk region. Also, parts of the 1st "Slavic" motorized rifle brigade from the Donetsk direction are in the Kursk region. These steps of the Russian command show a new strategy, as earlier they avoided transferring troops to the Kursk region, mainly using forces from less important areas of the front. Analysts also note that these movements should not affect the combat situation in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions, but further similar actions by Russia can be expected.
ISW also assessed the impact of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Kursk operation on Putin's rating.
