Kursk Bridgehead: The Armed Forces of Ukraine Create Advantages for Ukraine in Future Negotiations - Expert.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region are conducting defensive and raid operations to control Russian logistics, said military expert Dmytro Sniehyrov.
According to him, Ukrainian units in the area of Tovstyi Lug, Novoivanivka, Nizhnyi Klyn, Zelenyi Shlyakh, and Cherkaska Konopelka are actively counterattacking, taking advantage of the abandoned Russian defense lines.
"According to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mentioned by Sirskyi, currently on the territory of the Kursk region, the contingent of Russian troops is about 50,000 personnel. These are the most combat-ready units of the Russian army, pulled from both the rear areas of the Russian Federation and the most problematic sections of the Russian-Ukrainian front. These include marine brigades, airborne divisions, and special forces brigades. Additionally, a special division of the Russian National Guard has also been deployed to the Kursk region," noted Sniehyrov.
The expert points to the redeployment of parts of the Leningrad Military District to Plekhovo, indicating a shortage of operational reserves in the Kursk region.
He concluded that successful actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the Kursk region hinder Russia's plans to end the war. Ukrainian forces control significant territories that were previously under the occupation of Russian troops.
The situation in the Kursk region and the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will become key to preventing Russia from dictating terms in future negotiations, summarized Sniehyrov.
