Lithuania to finance the production of Ukrainian long-range drones: among them 'Palyanytsia'.


Ukrainian long-range drones will receive funding from Lithuania.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, a corresponding Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Vilnius with the Minister of Defense, Laurynas Kasčiūnas.
This agreement enables Lithuanian investors to invest in the Ukrainian defense industry and contributes to the expansion of strategic partnership between the two countries.
The first tranche of 10 million euros has already been approved and will be directed towards the production of Ukrainian long-range weapons.
Umerov also thanked Lithuania for their assistance and support to Ukraine, as well as for Kasčiūnas' leadership in the Ministry of Defense.
Moreover, the Ministers of Defense discussed plans for 2025, including the training of Ukrainian brigades, the supply of ammunition, and the development of cooperation in the defense industry.
