Russia violates the energy ceasefire

Over the past day, the Russian Federation has violated the energy ceasefire on Ukrainian territory. The information about three instances of ceasefire violations was provided by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgiy Tikhiy. As a result of these violations, transformers were damaged in Mykolaiv region and around Kherson, as well as a power line in one of the regions.

Georgiy Tikhiy noted: 'Recently, Russia has violated the energy ceasefire more than 30 times. We are sending all information about these violations to the capitals of partner states and the headquarters of international organizations.'

Shelling of Ukraine continues

Russian shelling is a response to the U.S. proposal for a ceasefire. However, after the meeting of U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff with Vladimir Putin, the Russian leadership refused to discuss this proposal. The U.S. believes that a ceasefire is unlikely to be achieved anytime soon, so new ways to pressure Russia and Ukraine are being sought.

Russia's demands for peace conditions with Ukraine

After the meeting of Steve Witkoff with Vladimir Putin, the Russian leadership officially confirmed its demands for the conditions of peace with Ukraine. The demands include complete demilitarization of Ukraine, neutrality, 'denazification', and a change of the current government.

The Russian Federation continues to violate the energy ceasefire, but the U.S. is actively working to find new ways to influence the situation in the region.
