National Bank announced when all banks will launch instant transfers.

All banks in Ukraine plan to launch instant transfers by the end of 2025. Currently, only 19 out of 61 banks are already using this service through the Electronic Payment System (EPS) version 4.1. The Deputy Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Oleksiy Shaban, emphasized that currently, 75% of instant payments are processed within a few seconds.
'Some banks have already implemented such functionality on their side, and now 75% of all instant payments are processed within 2 seconds, and 88% within 3 seconds,' said Oleksiy Shaban.
According to Oleksiy Shaban, in December 2024, there were 11,500 instant payments, and during the first two months of 2025, their number increased to 55,200, with a total sum of 543 million hryvnias. He expressed hope that all systemically important banks will implement instant transfers by the end of the first half of 2025. The update of the EPS is aimed at improving the speed of payment processing.
In Shaban's opinion, the number of instant payments will continue to grow. Every day, 1.3 million payments are made in EPS for a total amount of about 658 billion hryvnias. Last year, the largest number of payments was for up to 1,000 hryvnias (40%), payments from 1,000 to 100,000 hryvnias (55%), and transactions over 100,000 hryvnias (5%), however in terms of amount, payments up to 1,000 hryvnias accounted for only 1% of the total payment amount, payments from 1,000 to 100,000 hryvnias accounted for 1.4%, while transactions over 100,000 hryvnias accounted for 98.5%.
This data was provided by the representative of the National Bank of Ukraine, Oleksiy Shaban. It should be noted that the National Bank of Ukraine previously noted an increase in inflation.
