'Naftogaz' warned about payment distribution: who it will affect.

Ukrainian consumers must understand the difference between a gas supply company and a gas distribution network operator
In the field of gas supply, it is essential for Ukrainian consumers to understand the distinctions between a gas supply company and a gas distribution network operator. These two organizations perform different yet interrelated functions in the process of providing natural gas to the population.
This was reported by the press service of the Gas Supply Company 'Naftogaz Ukraine'.
Gas supplier and its functions
The gas supplier is mainly responsible for billing, organizing customer support, and consulting consumers. Specialists from this company assist clients with payment issues, provide information on payment status, and explain online services options.
Fundamentally different tasks lie with the gas distribution network operator. This company directly manages the technical condition of the gas infrastructure. Its direct responsibilities include maintenance of gas pipelines, around-the-clock operation of emergency services, accounting for consumed gas, conducting repairs and modernization of gas networks, as well as monitoring the quality of gas.
Payment distribution and meter reading transmission
It is crucial for consumers to know that payments are distributed between these organizations. Payment for the gas itself needs to be made to the supplier, while payment for its distribution and delivery to the premises must be made to the gas distribution network operator.
It has also become known how to correctly transmit gas meter readings now.
