MP names reasons for intensified Russian shelling of Ukraine.

Ukrainian MP Serhiy Rakhmanin reported that the number of shellings of Ukrainian cities by Russia has increased throughout 2025. This has become possible due to the increase in the production of drones, missiles, and munitions of the 'Geran' model. Russia is applying such political pressure before negotiations and is preparing for new offensives against Ukraine.

Rakhmanin noted that this is also related to American leadership, as Russia has found weaknesses in the Biden administration. In their opinion, the increase in destruction and casualties is not a reason for strengthening assistance, but rather an excuse to reiterate their thesis about the need to stop the war.

«They (Russians – «Glavkom») sell the deaths of Ukrainian citizens to American officials because it fits into the logic of the current American leadership,» Rakhmanin noted.

Rakhmanin points out that Russia strikes at important defense facilities. He also draws attention to the work of Russian intelligence, which is becoming increasingly effective and can cause more damage. Russia's goal is to undermine the infrastructure that affects the combat readiness and defensive capability of the Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that whoever started the war must stop and bear responsibility for their actions.

According to British intelligence, Russian losses at the front have again increased. Compared to the spring of 2024, when daily losses did not exceed 1,000 people, this year's figures are significantly higher.

It should be noted that Ukraine is developing its own strategic-level air defense system. Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga has suggested that European partners join in its creation with investments.
