The Offensive Has Already Begun: Syrskyi Said Which Regions Have Become Targets of Russia.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, commented on the words of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, about the fact that Russia is preparing for a new offensive on the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
In his interview for LB, Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Russian offensive on the Sumy and Kharkiv regions has already begun and has significant scale. He reported that there has been an increase in the number of offensive actions by Russian troops along all fronts for almost a week.
'Despite all the current negotiations, we are only observing an increase in the intensity of offensive actions... I can say that the president is absolutely right, and this offensive has actually already begun. Because for several days, almost a week, we have been seeing an increase nearly twice in the number of offensive actions by the enemy along all main fronts,' said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Syrskyi also explained that Russia's strategic goals have not changed and consist of capturing as much Ukrainian territory as possible and eliminating Ukrainian defense forces.
'The enemy is making progress in achieving these goals or fulfilling the tasks set for them. They will not stop,' he emphasized.
Syrskyi also noted that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, its military grouping has increased fivefold.
'Every month their numbers increase by 8-9 thousand, which amounts to 120-130 thousand per year. On January 1, 2025, there were 603 thousand military personnel involved in combat operations in Ukraine, and today this number has increased to 623 thousand,' reported the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, stated in his interview for Le Figaro that Russia is preparing for a spring offensive on the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
'We see preparations for a future operation. We have shared intelligence data with our allies,' he said.
Earlier, Syrskyi revealed details about the new military preparations.
Analysis:
According to the statements made by Oleksandr Syrskyi, the situation in Eastern Ukraine is deteriorating extremely, as Russia intensifies its offensive actions. This indicates that the conflict with Russia is still ongoing and poses a threat to Ukraine's security. Given the increase of the Russian military grouping in Ukraine, it can be assumed that this conflict may last for a long Time. Ukraine must remain vigilant and continue supporting its defense forces to counter Russian aggression and protect its territorial integrity.
