Ukraine has started producing 155-millimeter ammunition, but there is a problem with gunpowder and other components that concerns not only Ukraine, but also its European partners. This was reported by the head of the Alliance 'New Energy of Ukraine' and founder of the drone development company 'First Contact' Valeriy Borovik on the program FREEДOM.
'In general, these components were produced in large quantities in China and the United States. But when a plant closes in Turkey, it becomes a problem for the entire defense industry. We had occupied enterprises that produced the necessary amount of gunpowder, so now we have a problem with the supply of components, not with the production of ammunition themselves,' he noted.
According to him, production problems in the defense sector are not only in Ukraine, but also in the European Union.
'Honestly speaking, Europe is not ready for the development of the military-industrial complex. It lags behind in production compared to North Korea, Russia, and China. Even Russia buys shells and missiles from Iran. This is a serious problem for us and countries that support us,' Valeriy Borovik said.
