The former National Opera singer who called Ukrainian schools 'cowardly' has died.

The former singer of the National Opera of Ukraine, Kateryna Abdullina, has died
The former singer of the National Opera of Ukraine, Kateryna Abdullina, has passed away. She was known for her scandalous statements about Ukrainian schools and the children studying in them. This was reported by former news presenter of the 'Inter' channel, Maksym Ravreba, who also holds an anti-Ukrainian stance.
'It is so easy to imagine you alive. It is impossible to believe in your death. Such things...' - wrote Ravreba on his Facebook page on November 19.
The causes of the singer's death have not been disclosed.
Abdullina rose to fame with her statements, where she called Ukrainian schools 'cowardly', Russian-speaking children as 'morally healthy', and Ukrainian-speaking ones as 'cowards'.
The singer was born in Kyiv and worked at the National Opera of Ukraine. According to the publication 'Kommersant Ukraine', she had been living in Italy in recent years under the surname Russo, which is likely her husband's surname.
It is worth recalling that in 2013, Abdullina became embroiled in a scandal due to her comments on Facebook. She spoke about Ukrainian schools and Russian-speaking children. After a wave of public outrage, the singer began to insist that her comments had been fabricated, and she had become a victim of a 'setup'. However, she apologized to those she might have offended with her words. She was subsequently suspended from performances at the National Opera.
