Conscription in July - who can qualify for full exemption.


In connection with the introduction of martial law and mobilization, some citizens are exempted from military conscription. This applies to individuals who have reached conscription age, are recognized as unfit for service or have a deferment.
According to the , the categories not subject to conscription include:
Who is not included in the conscription list
men over 60 years old;
citizens recognized as unfit for service by the military medical commission;
individuals with a deferment;
representatives of critically important institutions, enterprises or government bodies.
Who can receive a deferment
Individuals with disabilities or temporarily incapacitated individuals can receive temporary exemption from conscription. Persons who:
- care for an incapacitated relative;
- lost a loved one due to the war;
- have three or more minor children;
- raise an adult child with a disability;
- take care of a family member with a disability.
Entrepreneurs undergoing military service are exempt from paying taxes. This applies to mobilized individuals and contractors who have joined the defense of Ukraine.
It is also important to note that having a positive does not grant the right to deferment, as some HIV-positive individuals may be fit for military service.
In the event of general mobilization and the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, special benefits and exceptions apply to certain categories of citizens. They may be exempt from military conscription or receive temporary deferment due to various circumstances, including disability, caregiving for relatives, presence of children, and others.
