About buying an apartment: new utility rates will ruin Ukrainians.

Ukrainians warned about rising tariffs after the privatization of thermal utilities
Oleg Popenko, a specialist in the field of housing and communal services, warned Ukrainian citizens that after the privatization of thermal utilities, heating tariffs may rise significantly. According to law 6013, the property of communal enterprises is expected to be transferred to the ownership of entrepreneurs, which will lead to their transformation into economic societies. According to Popenko, this process may lead to a significant increase in the cost of communal services, which will be unaffordable for many Ukrainians.
The expert noted that already now heating tariffs are unaffordable for many Ukrainians. He also warned that private owners of thermal utilities will care more about ensuring their own profits than about fulfilling social functions. Comparing the situation with utility payments in Ukraine and European countries, the expert noted that in Europe they account for no more than 10% of household income, and if they exceed this indicator, a person receives compensation from a fund formed from the funds of energy companies.
Popenko called for an audit of enterprises and finding a balance between the interests of service providers and consumers, instead of general privatization. Previously, Ukrainians were explained what surprises await them in utility bills.
