Lufthansa plane crashed during severe turbulence
On November 12th, while flying over the Atlantic, a Lufthansa plane traveling from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt encountered severe turbulence and 11 people were injured.
Several passengers and crew members were injured as a result of the accident. A Lufthansa representative stated: 'Unfortunately, five passengers and six crew members sustained minor injuries'.
Medical assistance was provided to the injured immediately after the plane landed in Frankfurt at 10:53 AM. There were 329 passengers and 19 crew members on board the Boeing 747-8. The turbulence occurred in the intertropical convergence zone and was short-lived.
In Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, regular flights were suspended due to the shooting of an Airbus A320neo aircraft belonging to the American airline Spirit Airlines during landing approach.
Recently in Britain, there have been issues with spare parts, leading to the cancellation of hundreds of long-haul flights by leading British airlines British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
