Russia attacked Ukraine with drones - how many were shot down by air defense forces.

During the past day and during the night of Sunday, July 13, Russia carried out a massive attack on the territory of Ukraine using strike drones. In total, the enemy used about 60 UAVs.

The Russians used up to 40 Iranian-type Shahed drones, as well as imitator drones of various models. The attacks came from the directions of Kursk and Millerovo in Russia.

During the day, the main target was the rear regions of Ukraine - more than 20 'Shaheds' were recorded heading deep into the country. At night, strikes were aimed at the front-line territories - specifically, Donetsk, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

To repel the aerial threat, aviation forces, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, as well as radio-electronic warfare units and drone defense systems were involved.

As of the morning of July 13, Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down at least 20 Shahed drones, as well as a number of other types of UAVs in various regions - in the north, east, west, and center of the country.

Another 20 enemy imitator drones were either lost or suppressed by electronic warfare means.

It is worth recalling that Russian troops struck a series of blows on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region. The Synelnykivskyi and Nikopolskyi districts were under fire.
