Average Salary in Ukraine: Where Do They Pay the Most.

Salaries in Ukraine: where are the highest, where are the lowest?
The average salary in Ukraine is currently 24,500 UAH, with the highest salaries recorded in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa.
The highest salaries in Ukraine are traditionally recorded in the capital. In Kyiv, the average salary amounts to 24,500 UAH, making it the leader among other cities. In second place in terms of salary levels is Lviv, where the average income is 22,000 UAH. This city attracts many workers due to its cultural and economic potential.
Odesa and Dnipro share the third place, where the average salary is 20,000 UAH. These cities are important industrial and transport centers of Ukraine. The city with the lowest average salary is Sumy, where this indicator equals 15,000 UAH. This may be due to fewer employment opportunities and infrastructure development.
From February 2024, the average salary in Ukraine has not changed and amounted to 20,000 UAH. However, in June, this figure rose by 2.5% to 20,500 UAH. This increase occurred due to the rise in the number of vacancies from the Defense Forces, while in civilian professions, the average salary level remained the same.
The increase in salary demands among Ukrainians who post their resumes is one of the key trends in the labor market. Over the past year, the average expected salary level has increased from almost 18,000 UAH to 22,414 UAH. This indicates growing expectations of workers regarding pay levels.
Many military specialties have entered the top 100 highest-paying professions. Whereas before the war, high salaries were predominantly among programmers and other IT specialists, today the highest-paid professions include artillerymen, snipers, and tank crew members. This is explained by the increased demand for such specialties during military operations.
