Syrsky reveals the reasons for the AFU operation in the Kursk region and Putin's army losses.

The Commander-in-Chief of the AFU revealed the purpose of the Kursk operation

The Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, Oleksandr Syrsky, outlined the details of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Kursk operation. On his Facebook page, he stated that Russia planned an offensive on the Sumy direction from the Kursk region, which was supposed to lead to the creation of a "buffer zone" in the north of Ukraine. The Ukrainian command decided to conduct an offensive operation by moving hostilities to Russian territory to stop the enemy south of the border. In almost three months of operation, the invaders' losses amount to over 20,000 people.

Over 1,100 enemy units of equipment have been destroyed, including tanks, BMPs, guns, and mortars, as well as automotive equipment. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are effectively operating on enemy territory and delivering significant blows. Russia is trying to regain lost positions by concentrating about 45,000 military personnel on the Kursk direction and involving additional forces from North Korea.

For successful actions during the operation, about 2,000 Ukrainian servicemen received state awards. The Commander-in-Chief called for a common victory and noted "Glory to Ukraine!".
