Subletting state land: how much Ukrainians pay per hectare.

The Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval, reported that the demand for subletting state land remains at a high level in 2025. According to him, state land is a highly sought-after resource that intrigues farmers regardless of the size of the plots. Subletting proposals have activated the market and allowed everyone to obtain land under transparent conditions.
According to the minister's information, the demand for subletting remains consistently high across all size categories of land plots. In particular, the average offer per lot varies depending on the area: from up to 10 ha to over 1000 ha.
'Competition has an effect: the average cost of subletting amounted to 21,500 UAH per hectare, while in some segments the price rose to over 30,000 UAH/ha. Every hectare that comes into circulation stimulates the economy: growing products, paying taxes, minimum tax obligations (MTO), employment in communities'
Open auctions contribute to the development of the agricultural sector
According to the minister, thanks to open auctions, the state is bringing land back into operation, and farmers are getting equal access to this vital resource.
The demand for subletting state land remains high, which indicates an active interest from farmers in this resource. Open auctions contribute to the effective use of land and the development of the agricultural sector of the country.
