On the train 'Kyiv - Warsaw', the shelf nearly injured a passenger, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' reacted.

The passenger car of the 'Kyiv - Warsaw' train experienced an incident when the upper shelf suddenly collapsed during movement. A passenger on the lower shelf nearly suffered from this. Fortunately, her neighbor managed to jump away from the falling shelf and no one was injured.
Eyewitnesses suggest that the cause of the accident could have been the loss of one of the bolts holding the shelf.
Representatives of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' explained that all shelves in the cars are in working order, but to unfold them, passengers need to contact the conductor.
'Ritz' type cars have a special fastening system on two brackets, so passengers need to contact the conductor for safe unfolding. The shelf fell because one of the brackets was not secured.
Employees of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' quickly resolved the situation by securing the brackets. The company claims that there was no lost bolt, and this is just a figment of the imagination.
New schedule for 2025
'Ukrzaliznytsia' presented a new schedule for 2025, which will come into effect on December 15. A special event will be the opening of a direct daily flight between Kyiv and Budapest. The train will feature standard sleeping cars - compartments and luxury.
