The number of casualties in Sumy has increased after the rocket strike.

The number of casualties from the shelling of Sumy has risen to 99 people, including 76 adults and 23 children, the Sumy City Council reports. Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the shelling are currently underway with the participation of rescuers, police, municipal services, and volunteers. The State Emergency Service (SES) is engaged in the dismantling of damaged houses and the temporary restoration of roofs and windows that were affected by the explosion. The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the commission of war crimes.
On March 24, Russian occupation forces carried out a rocket strike on Sumy, damaging several high-rise buildings and a school. Earlier, 88 casualties were reported, including 17 children. It is also worth noting that Russian occupiers attacked the Poltava region with drones, causing a fire in a hangar of one of the enterprises in the Myrhorod district due to the falling debris of the drones.
