Explosions in Volgograd: Air Defense allegedly shot down drones near the oil depot
On the night of February 15, a series of strong explosions occurred in Volgograd. According to Russian Telegram channels, there was mention of the possibility that air defense shot down unidentified drones approaching the oil depot in the city.
Local residents reported that the explosions began around 03:15 local Time and were accompanied by bright flashes in the sky. Air defense destroyed drones that approached the oil depot in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the city. Explosions were also recorded in the Kirovsky district and in the settlement of Krasnoslobodsk.
Later, a video of one of the explosions appeared. It was noted that during a 45-minute period, more than 15 explosions occurred over the city, which continued uninterrupted.
It was reported that as a result of the explosions, alarms went off in vehicles. However, there is currently no confirmation of this information or any serious material damage.
Moreover, it was reported that the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a hostile military facility near the village of Yelizavetivka in the Kursk region. According to reports from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of the strike, the strongpoint of the platoon of the 28th rifle battalion of the 60th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, which was used to launch drones attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Sumy region, was destroyed.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also confirmed the damage to the oil refinery of the occupiers in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation. This plant produces gasoline, fuel oil, and diesel fuel used by the Russian occupying army.
