Ukraine has secured Poland's support for negotiations with the EU.


The Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Riabykin held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy of the Republic of Poland and the Office of Polish-Ukrainian Development of the Ministry. During the meeting, issues of further cooperation between the departments and the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation were discussed. As part of the cooperation, it is planned to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Development in preparation for the negotiation process with the EU, implement regional development policies, develop a model for managing EU funds and utilizing their resources, as well as strengthen the role of regional and sub-regional levels. The creation of a working group to prepare for negotiations on the section 'Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments' of the EU was also discussed. The Polish experience in this area will be beneficial for Ukraine in preparing for the screening.
