In 2025, admission to Ukrainian universities will have new rules. According to the Admission Procedure, most specialties will set their minimum competitive score. This score will be calculated based on the results of the NMT tests. For each specialty, the Ministry of Education has established weighting coefficients for all test subjects.

For popular specialties, increased requirements have been established. The minimum competitive score for admission to both contract and budget cannot be less than 150 points for such specialties as International Relations, Public Administration, Law, International Law, Dentistry, Medicine, Pediatrics, Medical Psychology, Pharmacy (according to specializations).

For all other applicants, the minimum competitive score for budget enrollment based on complete general secondary education cannot be less than 130 points. An exception is made for the children of deceased servicemen and police officers, deceased prisoners of war, or servicemen recognized as missing, who are granted special admission conditions.

Tougher Competition for Budget Places

In 2025, admission to universities in Ukraine will be much more challenging due to new rules for determining minimum competitive scores. Minimum scores will be established for popular specialties and other applicants, making competition for budget places much stricter.
