The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported an update on the losses of Russian occupiers as of the morning of Friday, August 16, 2024.
Russia's losses in the war as of August 16, 2024
According to the headquarters, the Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine as of August 16 has suffered the following losses:
- personnel – about 596950 (+1330) people,
- tanks – 8496 (+12) units,
- armored fighting vehicles – 16461 (+35) units,
- artillery systems – 16927 (+59) units,
- MLRS – 1159 (+5) units,
- air defense assets – 922 (+0) units,
- aircraft – 367 (+0) units,
- helicopters – 328 (+0) units,
- operational-tactical UAVs – 13659 (+61),
- cruise missiles – 2429 (+1),
- ships/boats – 28 (+0) units,
- submarines – 1 (+0) unit,
- automotive equipment and fuel tanks – 22848 (+73) units,
- special equipment – 2829 (+16).
Activity of the occupiers' fleet as of August 16:
- In the Black Sea, one enemy ship, a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total volley of up to four missiles.
- No enemy ships in the Sea of Azov.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, one enemy ship, no carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles.
During the day, Russian vessels used the Kerch Strait:
- to the Black Sea – four vessels, of which two continued towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov – nine vessels, of which two moved from the Bosphorus Strait.
Currently, the full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for 905 days.
