Zelensky commented on Trump's statement regarding Ukraine in NATO.

Zelensky warns about US policy regarding NATO
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urged caution when drawing conclusions about US policy regarding possible Ukrainian membership in NATO. He referenced the example of the Patriot systems, which were initially available only to alliance countries. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine either already has NATO membership, or we should not rush to conclusions. He noted that the lack of membership in the alliance and specific security guarantees has been one of the reasons for the war. Zelensky openly stated that there has been no collective support from the USA and some European countries regarding Ukraine's membership.
The president stressed that serious security guarantees are important, and he discussed this issue with three US presidents. He also linked security guarantees to the return of Ukrainians from Europe, stating that every Ukrainian wishing to return should receive security guarantees for their family. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine has bilateral security agreements with specific commitments for the coming years, based on contracts rather than emotions.
