Disability Pension: Will Payment Be Granted Without Service Record.

In recent years, the pension provision for persons with disabilities in Ukraine has undergone significant changes. According to current legislation, regardless of when the disability occurred, a disability pension is granted in case of complete or partial loss of working capacity. This means that even if the disability occurred during employment, before employment, or after dismissal, the person can still receive such a pension.
This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
To receive a disability pension, a certain insurance record is required. Since October 1, 2011, the duration of this record depends on the person's age and disability group and varies from 1 to 15 years.
Disability pension in Ukraine
Since January 1, 2016, changes have been made to the assignment of pensions to persons with disabilities of groups I and II. Now, to receive such a pension, it is necessary to have from 1 to 10 years of insurance record, depending on the age at which the disability was established.
For persons with disabilities of group III and the assignment of a pension in connection with the loss of a breadwinner, the requirements for the insurance record differ. Since January 1, 2016, for these categories, it is necessary to have from 1 to 14 years of insurance record, depending on the age at the Time the disability was established or the breadwinner's death.
It is worth noting that there are exceptions to these rules. For instance, if the disability occurred during military service, the pension is granted regardless of the insurance record.
