On vacation abroad — do reserved Ukrainians have such a right.


During the martial law in Ukraine, there are restrictions on traveling abroad for men aged 18 to 60, except for certain categories, such as those who have been reserved by enterprises, institutions, and organizations.
The right of reserved workers to travel abroad for vacation
According to the Resolution of the Government of Ukraine No. 57, reserved workers can travel abroad, but only for the purpose of vacation or business trip.
According to legal explanations, employees can use a one-Time main vacation of at least 24 calendar days per year.
Documents required for reserved men to travel abroad for vacation
To cross the border for vacation, reserved men need to have the following documents:
- Ukrainian citizen passport;
- foreign passport;
- military registration document marked with a reservation in the 'Oberih' system;
- extract from the order on reservation from the Ministry of Economy or the 'Diia' portal;
- confirmation of deferment based on the relevant law;
- confirmation of special military accounting;
- order for vacation from the enterprise manager;
- extract from the order for vacation or its copy;
- additional documents explaining the purpose of the vacation.
Certain categories of civil servants are prohibited from traveling abroad for vacation. We remind you that earlier we discussed who is entitled to travel abroad in July 2025, as well as the requirements for the military registration document for leaving Ukraine.

Currently, during martial law in Ukraine, men aged 18 to 60 are allowed to travel abroad only in cases of business trips or vacations if they are reserved workers.
