Information about a possible electricity shortage in summer was conveyed to Ukrainians. Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities, Serhiy Nahornyak, noted that the reason for this is maintenance work on power units. As a result, the amount of electrical energy entering the grid will decrease in the evening. However, there are three possible solutions to avoid the electricity shortage. The first is to increase the maximum price for importers, which will allow attracting more electricity from abroad. The second is involving state companies in imports. The third is for Ukrainians to install solar panels and storage systems. In addition, one can take advantage of the state program to install solar power plants and batteries. Overall, this warning about a possible electricity shortage in summer may encourage the government and the population to take measures to ensure the stable supply of electricity during the hot season.
