'Stay away': Beijing reacted to the capture of Chinese soldiers in Ukraine.

In our state, China reacted to the detention of its servicemen at the front in Ukraine.
This was reported by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Lin Jian, during a press briefing.
China is studying information (regarding the captured citizens - ed.) at the embassy of Ukraine... I emphasize that the Chinese authorities always urge their citizens to refrain from areas of armed conflicts, avoid any forms of participation in such conflicts, and not to enlist in military service on the side of other parties.
However, the representative was unable to answer questions regarding the dialogue between Kyiv and Beijing concerning the captives.
Lin also commented on the statements of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha about the participation of Chinese citizens in the Russian army that invaded Ukraine.
Such statements have no basis. In fact, China's position regarding the crisis in Ukraine (Russian aggression against Ukraine - ed.) is clear and widely supported by the international community. Ukrainian authorities should correctly assess China's role aimed at the political settlement of the crisis.
Moreover, the diplomat noted that China advocates an objective and fair position regarding the 'Ukrainian crisis' and promotes peaceful negotiations.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on April 8 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had captured Chinese citizens in the Donetsk region.
Earlier, the U.S. State Department also expressed its reaction to this situation.
